SGN manages the network that distributes natural and green gas to 6m UK homes and businesses. SGN wanted an effective means of getting 700 health & safety policy documents, updates and videos out to 3,000 field-based engineers.
mHub deployed its opsHub app – branded SGN SMF – to each engineer’s mobile device, with content neatly organised into channels. Engineers are notified when a policy is received/updated and can now reference any procedure, instruction, standard or specification at any time, on any device.
David Wylie, SGN Engineering Policy Manager, said: “The ability to support all content formats, receive feedback and send push notifications is a step change in the way SGN communicates with field-based staff. SMF also provides compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.”
